started way back in 1955."Montessori"
has grown and developed into its present stature
imparting value oriented, need based and socially
relevant quality education to girls form nursery
level to Post Graduate and professional levels.
It is our firm belief and strong conviction that
education is a social responsibility and should
cater to the changing needs and aspirations of
the society. It has been our dedicated Endeavour
to provide ample opportunities to girls to pursue
higher education at under graduate, post graduate
and professional levels so that they can earn
a decent, independent living and improve their
social economic status. Education is an n effective
means of healthy social change and it is more
so in a country like ours where women are lagging
behind educationally, economically, socially.
Realising the need for providing exclusive opportunities
to girls, particularly to those haling from middle,
lower middle and poorer sections of society and
pursue higher education we stated Montessori Mahila
Kalasala in 1972. |

Which
now offers job oriented courses of innovative
nature besides conventional courses.The post graduated
section,started in 1986 has been offering Masters
degree course in Business Administration,Computer
Applications, Microbiology, Bio-Chemistry, Computer
Science and Mathematics which have high job potential
both in the country and abroad. We are going to
revive M.A. (Mass communication and journalism)
and M.Sc (Information Systems) which have been
kept in abeyance. The P.G Departments of Microbiology
and Biochemistry have been recognised as research
centers by Acharya Nagarjuna University. Montessori
Mahila college of Education has been imparting
effective teacher training for more than two decades
now. We have also been running a college of Physiotherapy,
besides a number of jobs oriented and need based
Diploma and P.G Diploma courses of wide range.

We
have created internet facility on the campus and
established a Cybercafé for the benefit
of the students and staff. Realising the need
for prompting good communication skills among
the students, we have established a language lab
for the benefit of our students. We purpose to
start Bio-Informatics, Biotechnology, Computer
Science and MSc (Biotechnology) from the next
academic year. We have also plans to start B.Sc
Medical Lab Technology Course from the next academic
year. Montessori Mahila Kalasala has been accredited
by NAAC at "B" Level. Taking fresh encouragement
and inspiration from NAAC accreditation and the
appreciative words of the peer team. We have been
continuing our dedicated Endeavour with greater
Zeal towards achieving excellence. Montessori
Mahila Kalasala emerged as an Autonomous college
from the year 2005 increasing our responsibilities
and thronging new challenges, which we are ready
to take with confidence, Courage and Competence.
It is our earnest Endeavour to shape Montessori
into an ideal center of Higher learning and research
for woman and reach our long cherished goal of
achieving "Deemed to be University"
status. We are marching forward to reach our goals. |
