Dr.P.Madhava
Rao, Associate Professor, Dept. of Microbiology
was sanctioned a major project on Jan 1st
2005 by the UGC entitled "Biocontrol
of fungal diseases of turmeric (Curcuma
Longa L) using fungi, bacteria, neem, garlic
and the project is under progress. Dr.P.Madhava
Rao published a paper entitled, "Biological
aspects of controlling pathogenic fungi
from the turmeric crop at Vijayawada in
the proceedings of the National seminar
on "Recent advances in Biotechnology"
held at Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher
learning. |

Dr.P.Venkateswararao,
professor in the PG Department of Business
Administration, was approved as research
guide by Madurai Kamaraj University and
by Indira Gandhi National Open University.
One M.Phil was awarded under his guidance.
Two students are persuing research leading
to the award of M.Phils. A Minor Research
Project entitled “Marketing Strategies
of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in
Andhra Pradesh” was sanctioned to
him by University Grants Commission vide
letter NO.MRP-2784/09(MRP/UGC-SERO) dated
02-09. |

Dr K.SriRama Murthy

Dr.
K. Sri Ramamurthy did his master degree (1994)
in Botany from Acarya Nagarjuan University and
thereafter obtained his Ph.D. (1998) from Sri
Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur. He got
a CSIR – SRF in 1997. He also worked as
Research Associate in Department of Biotechnology
funded project collaboration with M.S. Sweminathan
foundation, Chennai and National Chemical Laboratory,
Pune during 1999-2002.
Dr. Murthy worked as Professor and Head in P.G.
Department of Botany, Andhra Loyola College for
4 years. (2003-2007). He was awarded DST - SERC
Young Scientist (2004 - 06) in the field of Domestication
of Wild Relatives of Cultivated Legumes for Food
and Agriculture. He is principal investigator
of CSIR major research project entitled “Micropropagation
and Bioprospecting of two RED listed Potent Medicinal
Asclepiadaceous Members - Ceropegia spiralis and
Ceropegia pusilla”. He has published 50
research papers in leading Indian and International
journals. He is known for his interest in Plant
Tissue culture, Food technology, Floristic and
Biosystematics. He is the member of several Indian
and International Scientific Societies and technical
editor of Academic journals, USA and ANSI Journals
USA. Under his guidance 10 research scholars are
working for there Ph.D and M.Phill’s. |
